Some Gemstone kids are quite insular
Gemstone Estates is the primary setting of Precocious. This community is extremely kid-friendly and thus well-equipped to handle families with gifted children - specifically the ones that attend the nearby Poppinstock Academy for Gifted Children. Gemstone itself comprises three different neighborhoods differentiated largely by economic class. The area is environmentally healthy and boasts a number of outdoor locations for children to enjoy fun activities such as tennis, baseball, and boating. The four central characters of Precocious, as well as the other three kids on "their" side of the classroom, all live in these vibrant estates.
